October 1, 1988 to Present:
President
and Owner, Capital Realty Services, Inc. a full service commercial real
estate brokerage firm, specializing in leasing and management of commercial
properties, exclusive tenant representation, as well as acquisition and sale of
commercial properties. Also, serving as Court appointed Receiver and
expert witness in real estate brokerage, management and leasing matters in
federal civil and bankruptcy court and state court. Professional experience also
includes consultation with real estate clients regarding sales, leasing,
management and financing considerations of real estate ownership or acquisition.
October 1, 1988
to October 1989:
Affiliated
with Capital Financial Services, Inc., a mortgage banking and real estate
brokerage firm, specializing in the financing and marketing of major real estate
properties (in excess of $5 million).
June 1971
to Present:
Real
Estate Broker (now President) of Berrin Associates, Inc., a real estate
brokerage firm, involved in the acquisition, syndication, management, leasing
and marketing of investment real estate, including raw land and income producing
real estate. Berrin Associates is
mostly inactive at this time with its responsibilities primarily being handled
by Capital Realty Services, Inc.
April 1987
to October 1988:
Executive
Vice President, Terranova Corporation, a commercial real estate firm, with
strong emphasis on leasing and management of commercial real estate, and in
particular, REO properties held or controlled by financial institutions, the
Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation (FSLIC) and/or the Federal
Asset Disposition Association (FADA). Primary responsibility included working
with the above entities in the coordination of the management, leasing,
marketing and sale of nearly 1,000,000 square feet of commercial real estate,
valued at approximately $50 million, in addition to approximately 1,500,000
square feet of shopping center, office building and warehouse properties which
were managed and leased for private firms and individuals. Additional
responsibilities included the review of files and appraisals of both
institutional and privately owned real estate, in order to analyze these
properties and to make recommendations as to the management, leasing and
disposition (sale) strategies to be implemented.
April 1977
to April 1987:
Attorney
and Partner, Sepler & Berrin,
P.A. law firm, specializing in real estate law, with emphasis on
representation of investors and developers, providing both legal and real
estate consultation services to clients. This period included a substantial
amount of time devoted to the acquisition of numerous investment and
development properties, of which I became and continue to serve as the
managing general partner. During
this period (from approximately October 1980 to January 1984), I represented
the law firm as general counsel to South Florida Savings and Loan Association,
Miami, Florida.
August 1986
to October 1987:
Member,
Board of Directors, Coral Savings and Loan Association, Coral Springs,
Florida; also served on loan committee.
July 1972 to present:
Promoter
and managing general partner of no less than 12-15 real estate properties,
primarily commercial and income producing. Responsible for management, leasing
and disposition.
